Q: Does anyone have a new Dodge Challenger?
How do you like it? What is the good and bad?
A: Good friend of mine got his about a month or two ago and absolutely loves it. Then again he only drives high horsepower v8's. I would buy the 6-speed SRT myself, but I've all ready got a Charger. I'd say the bad part is you'll end up wanting to spend more money on upgrades, but otherwise they're reliable cars and the only problem I've had with my charger (basically the same car with 4 doors) was the interior fan started to squeal so I had it replaced at 30,000 miles.
Q: with talk about fuel economy i recently saw the new V6 Dodge Challenger that gets 25 mpg city and 35 highway?
It seems pretty economic for the type of car it is? would anyone consider it? Im more for the muscle but i understand how some people would need good gas mileage
A: You need to understand that a muscle car can get very good fuel mileage if you don't exercise the muscle. Think of a car as a worker at hard labor; using a lot of muscle works up a big appetite.
Q: I was wondering how many people actually own the new Dodge Challenger?

A: My sister in-law got the Challenger as a rental while her Accord was getting fixed. The car is very powerful but the one thing that annoyed me the most was that there was not enough leg room in the back!

What mods would you make?
A: Oh yeah, first thing I would do is dump the stock exhaust and run at least a 3" true dual with h pipe, no mufflers and no cats for a good loud sound.

A: So far the biggest I have seen are 28", but that was on a special widebody challenger at SEMA this year. Without modification, I have seen 26" on one, but I can't stand the look of either of them personally. It's a muscle car; muscle cars don't do gigantic rims.

A: Well, if I had unlimited money, definitely the Nissan GTR. If the Supra were out I'd have that, but I would imagine they are about the same. So you're the Stig eh?

has there been any problems with the new dodge challenger specificly the r/t f package model with the 6 speed manual tansmission. and if so what have been the problems how does it drive.
mainly whats the pros and cons of the car
A: If there was a major problem it would probably be in the manual transmission (TR6060) since its new to the platform but I believe its the same transmission as the Viper, Vette, and GT500 Mustang so its not untested either. The rest of the car is mechanically the same as the 300, Charger, and Magnum which have been out for several years and had years to work out the major bugs.

Q: Just bought a new Dodge Challenger SE, want to do an engine swap.?
The current engine is a 3.5L six--it's fast but eventually want to swap it for a 392 Hemi or the 6.1 liter Hemi. What other modifications would I have to do besides just dropping in a new engine? what is the real difference between the 392 Hemi and the 6.1? The 392 is $14,000 and the 6.1 is $7,000 but Dodge claims the 6.1 is the biggest they have offered.
A: Much cheaper to trade it in and get one with the engine you want. You wont have all the electrical, wiring harness, transmission, drive line issues to contend with.

A: The new challenger ie hot.I have been promised the first one off the assembly line by Diamlier-Chrysler.Cost for the first one $80,000 this car will never be driven it is getting mothballed.

A: This one is tricky. You start by going to a Dodge dealer. You then pay the dealer for the car. As soon as it is made, they will deliver it to you. It is a fairly simple process, really, and if you can't wait a month or two for the car, you have bigger issues.
