Q: Viper insurance for a 24 year old?
Anyone have a ballpark idea of how much it would be for a 2008 Dodge Viper? I have a good driving record, the insurance on my tiburon is way less than what my freinds pay because of this. Im guessing like $2000 every 6 months?
Please no "dont get a viper its impractical" responses :)

On the Viperclub owners website, the majority of owners pay in the range of $500-$1500 every 6 months, that includes people in their 20's. Nobody has ever posted their insurance as being more than that, so it is hard to belive your exaggerated guess
A: My buddy got a 2006 Viper and he is 25 - i don't know what he pays but he gave me this site. Its a comparison site but he said its the best for high end car models.

Q: Mercedes SLC mule blatant rip off of Dodge Viper?
is it just me or does anyone else feel that the Mercedes SLC prototype is the biggest case of blatant theft you've ever seen in a car. apart from the front nose its IDENTICAL to the viper. rear bumper is the same, tail light positioned exactly the same, body size exactly the same, side exhaust exactly the same, hell even the scoop on the side of the body is identical. what the hell are they trying to pull.

am i going nuts or is mercedes just straight up stealing the viper's sheet metal?
EDIT: Just to clarify, Daimler-Chrysler no longer exists. that partnership has long since dissolved and therefore mercedes benz has no claims to any current Chrysler models. ESPECIALLY something like the viper that came out long before the partnership. so perhaps mercedes believes they're still entitled to the design...but they aren't.
EDIT2: to chris2EM, thats still nearly identical except the camo is covering up area's like the rear decklid and the lights, etc. the profile is nearly identical even with camo.

1. That's just a Viper skin used for the testing .
2. They've had several different test skins for it.
3. It's not called the SLC.
4. You don't even have the newest images of it.

Q: Would they deduce a purposeful designer?
Hypothetical: If time travel were possible, and we were able to deliver a nicely-equipped car - say, a 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe - to the center of ancient Rome around the year 15 B.C. . . . just the car, no personnel, no literature. The keys are in the ignition; the engine is running, the tank is full, the trans is in "Park".
They would have seen _nothing_ like it before. Would the more educated among the men and women in the scenario be able to conclude that this artifact was a thing that had been purposefully designed, rather than just a thing of nature such as a comet? And how confident of their conclusion could they be?

The people of this era did not have automoblies of any kind. Their form of transportation would have been walking, riding an animal, or riding in

I think most of us (some anyway) can agree that an educated Roman of this era would have found the sudden appearance of a 21st century car in his or her milieu to be an unprecedented anomaly, at least.
I agree that the more intellectually curious Romans would have examined it and would have hypothesized a purposeful designer. Would you characterize such a hypotheseis as "wishful thinking" or "magical thinking"? Remember, there is no direct evidence of "a designer," just the artifact itself.
That was the point of the question.
Follow up: If the complexity and functionality of a Dodge Viper would suggest to an intelligent denizen of ancient Rome a purposeful designer, might not the breathtaking complexity and functionality of the Universe, and all that is in it, including especially the Earth, and the human person, reasonably suggest to an intelligent and inquisitve person a - perhaps even more overarching - purposeful designer?
P.S. Not saying "prove the designer".

Oracle, I'm doing a thought experiment and come to the table with certain assumptions, but what interests me here is the opportunity to observe the operation of others' assumptions and whether these produce or fail to produce quality thinking; others' imputations of what my assumption are, aren't of much interest (since I already know my assumptions.)

A: The hypothetical question is not needed. The entire creation speaks of the Creator. There will be those who recognize that design demands a designer, those who attribute another even non existent designer, and those who adamantly refuse to accept any designer at all.

i just turned 16 three weeks ago and yesterday my parents finally got me my own car, a red 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Roadster.
i'm allowed to put anything i want in the car, and i was thinking about a stereo system and getting my name put onto the seats.
the problem is i dont know what type of stereo system i should get and i need help choosing what type.

You should defintly get all JL Audio of you are looking for the best Quality Loud System!! JL Audio is the Best brand out there right now. The Only downside is since it is the best out there, it is really expensive.
My Fiance and myself have 1 JL Audio W6 12" Sub with an MTX amp, MTW Door Speakers and MTX Tweeters and just with that our system is really nice.
